Award Winning Radio For Grantham

Here at Gravity FM we are very proud of the service we provide to the local community. We're also very proud of the achievements of our volunteers. From time to time our efforts also get recognised by other organisations and we receive awards. We want to share these with you so you can find out more about some of our recent awards below:

Lincolnshire Education Awards - Student of the Year 2014

Gravity FM volunteer Andrew Kidd, 15, was recognised as Lincolnshire of Student of the Year 2014 at a spectacular award ceremony in Lincoln.  Hosted by Lincolnshire Media and Lincolnshire County Council at Lincoln College, Andrew was recognised both for his life-saving actions whilst out in public and his general contribution to the community through his volunteering.  He was first presented with the Judge's Award by four-time Paralympic medal winner Jade Etherington before later being called back to collect his award as the overall winner becoming the first ever Lincolnshire Student of the Year.  You can hear what he had to say about the experience on the Gravity Youth Project's YouTube channel here.
