Gravity FM is a community radio station run by volunteers that support the radio station through their membership and time. Gravity FM serves the communities of Grantham and the surrounding villages and hopefully benefits everybody living here in one way or another.
There is so much to do to make a radio station a success and keep it alive and thriving. This is where we want YOU to help out.
Right now we are specifically looking for enthusiastic individuals with an interest in community radio and that can spare a couple of hours a week on a regular basis.
If you have experience to give in any of the following areas : fundraising, marketing & promotion, management or directorship, interviewing skills, technical support, programme research, daytime radio presenting or acting as your village correspondent, then please get in touch. Our community always has plenty going on. This is a great opportunity to keep listeners informed of local current events, learn new skills and make friends.
If you are interested in supporting Gravity in any of the above roles please contact the station at New Lodge, Riverside Walk, Grantham, NG31 9AN or email on firstname.lastname@example.org and enclose a short resume about yourself and what you could bring to a particular volunteer role.
Protecting Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults
Gravity FM is a community radio station and is committed to including volunteers from all sections of the community. All posts within the organisation involve working with children, young people and vulnerable adults. As such, they are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and successful candidates will need to be CRB checked before being confirmed in post. If you are applying for a job supervising, caring for or otherwise connected with people from the following list, you must always declare any convictions for criminal offences, even where they have been spent. For these purposes, this includes working with children, older people, people who are dependent on alcohol or drugs and people with mental or physical disabilities, illness, injury or deformity, including those who are blind, deaf or without speech. Declaring a criminal conviction will not be taken into account unless relevant to the job.
