Studio 1 Launch
Saturday 8th October 2011 marked the culmination of two and a half years of hard work at Gravity Towers. Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, Liam Fish made the first live broadcast from the studio in front of an expectant crowd of members and listeners who had turned out on mass for the occasion.
Even the weather could not dampen the occasion which had long been looked forward to by station members. The new studio includes some of the lastest media and computer technology to improve the quality and variety of broadcasts. Situated downstairs, it is also fully accessible and has been designed to allow confortable operation from a wheelchair.
The studio also includes a plaque to commemorate the contribution made by the late Carol James, a respected volunteer and former member, to community radio broadcasting.
