Your Community

Local Radio For Local People

Gravity FM is your local radio station. Broadcasting 24 hours a day, we’re your first stop for keeping in touch with all the important news and information from the local area as it happens. We always want to hear about news from your village or community group. We can help publicise events in our What’s On Diary and promote your group or organisation through interviews and discussions on air.

If you have information for us you can upload it directly through our website. Our Community What’s On Diary allows you to upload details of your event directly and our team will review it to ensure it gets the right attention.  Alternatively you can get in touch by emailing us at

Community Contact Points

Here at Gravity FM we know that not everyone uses the Internet or visits the town centre on a regular basis. Whilst many organisations are cutting back offices to save money, we are committed to improving accessibility and developing greater involvement in all the local villages and communities. During 2013 we have been opening a series of Community Contact Points in the local villages so that everyone can get in touch. These points allow you to drop off news and event information about you, your village or your community organisation so that we know all about. This information will then be returned to our Community News & Information Desk for inclusion on-air and on our website.

Community Correspondents

Gravity FM has a team of Community Correspondents to report on news, events and information from within the community. A Community Correspondent may represent a village, small area or a specific local community organisation. They will be able to provide us with updates on-air either by visiting our studios or by telephone about once a month and at other times if required. Just like all our volunteers, Community Correspondents will be supported by our administration and management team.
